Sept 2011 - Final round of the Steel Blue Superbike Championship of Western Australia

With the 2011 Championship already decided Dan still went out and won the last 3 races of the season convincingly.

The perfect score of 14 wins from 14 starts makes it an MCRCWA club record likely to stand for all time.

It was a truly masterful performance by Dan one of Australia's best Superbike riders at the top of his game.

Congratulations go to Ralph Mammoliti ZX10 who was 2nd in the Championship and to Jamie Boland ZX10 in 3rd. Both tussled it out with Dan and recorded PB's in the process.

Huge thanks to Luke Wallis at Moto Pro for preparing an awesome race bike that never missed a beat all year. Also to Steve at Rated R Parts for all the tech bits and helping create a formidable weapon of a machine.

Thanks to all our sponsors this season - Auto Classic BMW / Intercontinental Hotels Burswood / Pirelli / CIC ceramics

We know this will be hard to repeat in 2012 but anyone that knows us knows that we love a challenge.

JEREMY McWILLIAMS #99

MOTO GP STAR
Born 4/4/1964 Home - Belfast Northern Ireland

Absolute privilege to work with the now factory test rider. Jeremy's vast experience in Race Bike set up was put to good use by the team

We again raced in the 2010 Kings of Wanneroo at Barbagello raceway - although we managed a 5th in the overall results Jeremy actually took the chequered flag in the re-started 3rd race

We thank Jeremy for his help and for being an all round good guy.

ALASTAIR SEELEY #34

2009 BSB SUPERSTOCK 1000 CHAMPION
2009 IRISH SUPERBIKE CHAMPION
2011 NORTHWEST 200 SUPERSPORT CHAMPION

Born 4/10/1979 Home Town - Carrickfergus Northern Ireland

We were honored to prepare Alastair a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K9 Superbike for the Kings of Wanneroo at Barbagello Raceway in November 2009

Alastair showed his metal against a star studded grid with the likes of Johnny Rea WSBK / Ian Lowry BSB/Shannon Johnson ASBK / Andrew Pitt WSBK / Guy Martin IOMTT/ Simon Andrews BSB and Jeremy McWilliams of MotoGP fame.

The crowd was on its toes to watch intense elbow to elbow racing - the likes of which will always be remembered by all present.

Alastair rode an impressive 2nd to Johnny Rea in the second race both recording consistent 56 second laps.

We thank Relentless Suzuki GB for the opportunity to work with their top rider who will always be welcome to ride with us

G,day everybody

This is one of the worlds toughest road circuits located in the North West of Ireland. Similar to the Isle of Man where the normal streets are used. The scenery includes the breathtaking Giants Causeway.

Racing is on the 16th -17th May which includes the Blackhorse NW200 & Dewalt Superbike races plus Superstock & Supersport 600’s

Riders also include lap record holder Michael Rutter (201mph ave) Steve Plater (2008 Winner) Guy Martin & Ryan Farquar.

It has been a hectic month racing all starting in Warpy's back yard of Western Australia at the "Kings of Wanneroo" race meeting.

With a field of riders from Australia and the UK it was a hotly contested event and a massive thanks to Warpy for his help in preparing and maintaining the GSXR1000 provided to me by the club for the race.

From there it was to the far east and the 2008 Macau street grand prix and back on board with my Relentless Suzuki crew at one of the most daunting street circuits in the world.

All was going to plan as we secured third position in qualifying and a front row start for the GP race that was to be held in the hot and humid conditions that I like best.

After a strong start and taking the lead from the Ducati of Michael Rutter on the first lap I got my head down to open up a gap of three seconds on lap five before my bike came to a stop on the front straight.

We are still not sure the cause of the problem as my dash went out and I lost all power so it has to be something electrical but whatever the reason that was the end of my race and my 2008 season !

At least we went out on top and bring on the all new 2009 GSXR1000 for next year that we begin testing for soon.

Big thanks to Warpy for all of his support.

Cheers

Hey mate,
Well well well!! What a terrific year of racing. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support for the year and your assistance with getting the Gixxer to a championship winning bike.
Like all race years, this year was full of ups and downs. Luckily for me the year ended on a high!!!

The championship wining round. Round five (Winton, VIC). The lead up to the round was planned to the last detail "Take out the 1st place getter and I’m home sweet" ha ha.... well it didn’t go quite as planned.
The 1st place getter crashed out on the 1st lap of the 1st race. So after the re-start - I was in 1st place.
However I still had races to win and the round to win!!!! I got quicker and quicker as the weekend progressed, smashing my PBs every time I went out on the track and winning each of the remaining races.
As a side event I was cross-entered into the Greg Bailey Championship. I finished in 2nd place. You little beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, with the results up on the web, its official. Rhys Edwards and WARPSPEED are the Champions for 2008 in the Hartwell Over 600s Non-Expert Series.
I'd also like to thank Nath, Truong, Tony, Dibbsy, George. Pete, Dom, Brian, all the guys who I raced with throughout the year - It wouldn’t be the same without you.....
